The Cochin International Airport Ltd (CIAL) has become the first airport in the country to be fully powered by solar power Cochin airport becomes the first airport in India to run on solar power; spread over 50 acres project is estimated to generate approximately 50,000 units of electricity daily. As part of its initiative to become the first 'green airport' in the country, CIAL had commissioned two solar plants of smaller capacity in 2013. Alibaba has picked up 25 per cent stake in Paytm’s parent company One97 communication through its subsidiary Ant Financial.
