Arun Jaitley inaugurates New Bank Note Paper Line unit in Hoshangabad, Madhya Pradesh
Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley inaugurated New Bank Note Paper Line unit of 6000 metric tonne capacity at Security Paper Mill in Hoshangabad (Madhya Pradesh). With this inauguration India will become self reliant in production of big denominations Bank Note paper. As previously India was importing bank note paper for currency of big denominations. One more plant of this type will be operationalised in Mysore soon.

George Yeo appointed as Chancellor of Nalanda University
Former Singapore Foreign Minister George Yeo was appointed as the new Chancellor of the Nalanda University, Bihar. Yeo will succeed Nobel laureate Amartya Sen, who withdrew his candidature for a second term as Chancellor of the Nalanda University in February 2015.
FIFA President Blatter re-elected to a fifth term
Current FIFA President Joseph Sepp Blatter was re-elected as President post. This will be his fifth term. 65th FIFA Congress held in Zurich chose him for this post. He got 133 votes out of 206 valid votes to secure this post. He defeated Prince Ali bin al-Hussein of Jordan as Prince was able to bag 73 votes.
Mohun Bagan Clinch First-Ever I-League Title
Kolkata giants Mohun Bagan won their maiden I-League title in 13 years. In the final clash at Kanteerva Stadium in Bengaluru, Mohun Bagan managed a 1-1 draw against the defending champions Bengaluru FC. Mohun Bagan ended the season with 39 points, while Bengaluru finish second on the ladder with 37 points. This win is the fourth I-League title for Mohun Bagan. It won the first I-League title in 2002 when the tournament was called as the National Football League (NFL). Later in 2007, NFL was renamed as I-League.
