KV Kamath appointed as the chief of BRICS Bank The government is set to name ICICI Bank chairman KV Kamath as the first president of the BRICS Bank. The BRICS – Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa – agreed to set up the $100 billion development bank last July to be based in Shanghai. Indian Navy commissions INS Sardar Patel naval base in Porbandar Indian Navy has commissioned INS Sardar Patel naval base in Porbandar, Gujarat in the presence of Gujarat Chief Minister Anandiben Patel and Admiral RK Dowan.
