In a pasture, grass grows at a uniform rate per day. If 40 goats graze, the grass is exhausted in 6 days. If 20 goats graze, the grass is exhausted in 16 days. If the grass is exhausted in 12 days, find the number of goats grazing.

Q. 1: It takes 24 days for 70 cows to graze a pasture completely. However if there were only 30 cows, the pasture would have lasted for 60 days. How many cows will graze the entire pasture in 96 days? Consider that grass grows at a uniform rate per day.
Q. 2: The number of bacteria in a jar grow at a constant rate per hour. To kill bacteria, antibiotics are introduced in the jar. Each ml of antibiotic added to the jar kill the bacteria at a fixed rate per hour. When 20 ml of antibiotic is poured in the jar, it takes 8 hours for all the bacteria to be killed. When 25 ml of antibiotic is poured in the jar, it takes 6 hours for all the bacteria to be killed. If 30 ml of antibiotic is poured in the, all the bacteria will be killed in how many hours?

Sir one more interesting approach we can relate this problem(goat pasture) to Time and work
a+b=1/6
a/2+b=1/16
a+b=1/12 this we have to calculate.
also this approach can be used only if numbers are supporting if number of goats is not multiple of each other its difficult to solve

40 demolition men and 1 building man can demolish a wall in 6 days. 20 demolition men and 1 building man can demolish the same wall in 16 days. How many demolition men along with 1 building man will take 12 days to build the wall?
Let the wall = LCM (days) i.e. LCM (6, 16, 12) = 48 units.
Let each demolition man demolish x units/day and the building man build y units per day.
Thus, 40x – y = 8 and 20x – y = 3
Solving , x = 1/4 and y = 2.
We want to find N * (1/4) – 2 = 4 i.e. N = 24
